About AiA Sports Therapies

Established by Ann I’Anson (commonly known as Annie) after understanding and appreciating the benefits sports therapies can provide in preventing injuries, maintaining an active body and keeping athletes in optimal condition during training, competition and off-season.

Ann successfully raced competitively for two decades throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Canberra and South Australia in foot running, triathlons and cycling, and also completed a few long distance swim races. During her racing career, Ann gained considerable understanding and appreciation of the benefits of sports and remedial therapies.  It was this understanding that inspired Ann to pursue a career as a sports therapist.

After transitioning away from competitive racing in 2010, Ann undertook studies and completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage; and subsequently commenced in private practice.  Ann continued higher studies focussing on athlete health, mobility, sports related injuries, treatment and rehabilitation; graduating as a Sports Therapist.

Ann is passionate about supporting athletes to achieve their goals through freedom of mobility by identifying limitations, asymmetries and musculoskeletal dysfunctions, providing a variety of injury prevention and management methods, plus a range of techniques to keep one’s body in peak condition.

Ann is actively involved in sporting associations in Central Victoria.
